Chad Prosser Named South Carolina’s Regio=
nal
Ambassador for Tourism
On Thursday,
September 6, 2007 Capital City/Lake Murray Country (CCLMC) Regional Tourism
Board recognized Chad Prosser as its 2007 Ambassador for Tourism. Prosser is
the Director of the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tour=
ism
(SCPRT). Prosser was appointed to his current cabinet post by Governor Mark
Sanford in February 2003.
CCLMC’s
President/CEO, Miriam Atria, along with CCLMC Board Member and Senator Jake
Knotts made the presentation in the State House Senate Chambers. Atria sited
that it is Prosser’s leadership at SCPRT that has led to the
restructuring of funding programs to better serve the tourism industry in S=
outh
Carolina.

His vision at the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and
Tourism has escalated South Carolina’s tourism industry. As one of the industry’s par=
tners,
our regional tourism marketing plan will allow us to reach more potential
